I worked with H & E last fall when they painted my house interior. The actual bid ended up being more than they initial guessed it might be because we did a lot more than I originally asked for. They skim-coated some heavily-textured walls and did doors, trim and closet interiors. The final price for 6 rooms + hallway in my 1550 sq ft house was around $3000. A lot, but not outrageous and they did a beautiful job. They even mopped the floors when they were through. They finished in just a few days, whereas if I had tried to do it I’d still be working on it. I gave them the color codes of the shades I wanted, they got SW to mix it, and SW called me to pay over the phone. Pretty painless!

You can base the tip on the size of the crew, and request the amount to be evenly divided. Or, you can leave a tip based on the size of the job and leave it up to the foreman to decide how it is distributed among the crew. Sometimes — especially with big projects — the painters on the job change during the course of the project, so it’s often customary to leave one tip for the whole job. House Painting Arvada
